Except for the introduction, the piece is in six-eighths time, a modest, light piano piece with understated strings.
Inspired by the way of life of a person I met in Kobe immediately after the Great Hanshin Earthquake, I composed this piece in March 1995, when the impression had not yet faded, and added and revised it in June of the same year. At that time, I was still playing the piano and writing the score in pencil.
Although I had experience recording with a band, when I started this website in February 1997, it was the first time I had completed and released something to the world using only DTM/computing. I remember that I chose this song as the first one because it was the one I wanted someone to listen the most.
