Composed on January 23, 2000, this is the second track in the Snow series, a snow ambient.

The song lyrically depicts a scene where snow piles up quietly on a frozen lake like a mirror, the weight of the snow gradually cracks the ice, and the water from the lake coming out of the cracks melts the snow a little, creating a pattern.

Only Snow #0 has a clear chord progression, but in the series of Snow series pieces after this one, the tonality becomes more and more ambiguous in the pursuit of a floating feeling. Even in this piece, there rare instances where the chord settles on the tonic, C major.
