Blue Moon #5 “Friday: the Blackout”

This is one of a classical serial piece or musical suite composed in April 2000.

This series was inspired by the images and image words that were displayed on BlueMoon, a beautiful website that changed the days of the week. To emphasize the sense of unity, it is made entirely of harp tones and stringed instruments.

The image phrase for this song is “Lost Friday, taunting on broken memories”. I dare to use a great deal of dissonance to express this. The sickening sounds and the sound interruptions in the latter half of the song are all due to the composer’s intention.
