Fantasia: Myself I Don’t Know

This is a kind of the fantasia, composed between June and December 1995, in which 13 motifs of varying tunes and tempos appear one after another. It is made with instrumentation intended for a small orchestra.

Because of the books I read and movies I saw in my late teens, I was interested in how one thought could be divided into multiple thoughts at that time.

The tune is rattlingly all the sudden, as I imagined a boy who has developed multiple personalities in the process of growing up, and is unified after a long period of treatment.

A friend of mine who heard it told me that it might be suitable for game music, so I posted it on the site. But even as the composer myself, I still don’t know how to use this as background music.
