If Only I Had Realized Earlier

I composed this in 1994, and wrote the lyrics in 1995.

I wrote the poem looking back on my boyhood after reading about plans for the future that made me laugh. The idea was to have a cute song to go with that theme, so I tried to make it as pop and childish as possible, with as few gimmicks as possible. The arrangement may have a bit of an AOR feel to it.
