Composed in August 1999.
Written for Crescent, a band I was in at the time, it’s an irredeemable rock ballad about crying in memory of a loved one who died young.
In the guitar arpeggio, I was constantly playing stretched chords in positions that I don’t use very often because of the emphasis on resonance. So I had a hard time in live performance because I have small hands.
