Originally composed in April 1998 as an instrumental song called Theme of Owner, it was arranged as a rock ballad in August 1999 with lyrics written for the rock band Crescent, of which I was a member at the time.
While the original song depicted an aloof, charismatic woman, the lyrics of this song is about a man grieving in a desperate situation on the battlefield, unable to save his beloved.
